Running sweeps immediately

You can run an immediate sweep from the Spy Sweeper Main screen or from Windows Explorer. Running a sweep from Windows Explorer is a convenient method for quickly scanning a specific file or folder.

Note: Spy Sweeper may not be able to remove spyware associated with a particular program if that program is open. Before running a sweep, close all programs that are listed in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. You do not need to close programs shown in the system tray in the lower-right corner of your screen; these programs are only open in the background.
