Setting sweep options

Before running a sweep, you should review what options are currently set for each sweep type. Sweep types include:

•

Full. Performs a complete sweep of all internal drives and drives directly attached to your computer. We recommend running a Full Sweep at least once a week. It takes longer than a Quick Sweep, but it is more thorough. Options for Full Sweeps cannot be changed.

•

Quick. Performs a limited sweep of only the locations where spyware and other unwanted programs are commonly found. This type of sweep is less thorough than a Full Sweep, but it maximizes use of your computer’s processing power to make the sweep as fast as possible. Options for Quick Sweeps cannot be changed.

•

Custom. Lets you customize the sweep to focus on specific areas. Spy Sweeper saves these settings for future Custom Sweeps.
