Responding to an ActiveX Shield Warning
If a program that uses ActiveX technology tries to install on your computer (with the ActiveX Shield on), Spy Sweeper displays a warning message similar to the one in Figure 8 .

ActiveX technology is a group of functions developed by Microsoft that let programs share information. Many legitimate programs use ActiveX, but some spyware, adware, and other unwanted programs also use ActiveX to install themselves.
Respond to the warning based on your situation:
- Always Take This Action optionIf you want Spy Sweeper to always take this action when this program tries to install, select this option.
- YesUse if you do not recognize the name of the program listed. This option will stop the program from installing.
- NoUse if you recognize the program as one that you want to install.
