Responding to a Memory Shield Warning
If a program that Spy Sweeper recognizes as spyware, adware, or other unwanted program is running in memory (with the Memory Shield on), Spy Sweeper displays a warning message similar to the one in Figure 5 .
Figure 5: Example Memory Shield warning
Respond to the warning based on your situation:
- YesUse if you do not recognize the name of the program listed. This option will start a sweep that will find spyware, adware, or other unwanted programs that are running in memory and will quarantine them.
- NoUse if you recognize the program as one that you want to run. This option tells Spy Sweeper not to warn you again while Spy Sweeper is running. If you shut down Spy Sweeper and start it again, the warning will display again.
- IgnoreUse if you recognize the program as one that you want to run. This option tells Spy Sweeper to never warn you again about this program. It adds the program to your Always Keep list. For more information, see Setting Up Items to Always Keep.
