Redundancy
Redundancy, when activated, causes StuffIt to add extra information to an archive when it is created. This extra information works like an insurance policy for the files in the archive, so that if they become damaged or corrupted, they can be repaired. To use Redundancy:
From the Start Menu, choose All Programs, and then navigate to the StuffIt folder.
Choose StuffIt to launch the application.
From the Edit menu, choose "Advanced Format Options"
A list of available formats is displayed on the left hand side of the dialog. Click "StuffIt X"
In this dialog, pull down the Redundancy menu and choose "1/16th or a block".
Click OK to Exit the dialog.
When you create a StuffIt X archive with any method in the application, it will now be created with Redundancy.
