Destination Tab
The destination tab is used to tell the StuffIt application where files are to be created. The Expansion destination is used to specify where files are to be saved after an archive has been expanded, and the Compression destination is used to specify where a newly created archive should be saved.
Compression Destination
Same as Original: When this option is selected, the archive will be created in the same folder as the files that were compressed.
Ask Each Time: When this option is selected, the StuffIt application will ask where to create the new archive for every compression task.
Use: This option is used to specify a default location where archive will be created. This option can be used, for example, to cause all new archives created to be saved in the My Documents folder.
Expansion Destination
Same as Original: When this option is selected, files extracted from the archive will be saved in the same folder as the archive itself.
Ask Each Time: When this option is selected, the StuffIt application will ask each time where to save files after an archive has been expanded.
Use: This option allows the user to specify that the same location be used to save files every time an archive is expanded. This option can be used, for example, to save files from expanded archives in the My Documents folder.
