StuffIt
Context Menu
The StuffIt Context menu allows you to create
archives in a Windows Explorer folder without first having to launch the
StuffIt application. To create an archive from files or folders in a Windows
Explorer folder, select the files you want to compression, and click them
with the right mouse button. Choose Compress from the StuffIt Menu to
create an archive in the format specified in the Compression
tab of the Options sheet.
The following options are available from the
StuffIt Context menu:
Archive:
The archive sub-menu lists all of the
available archive file formats. Also included are options that allow you
to create Tar archives that have been further compressed using Gzip, Bzip,
or Unix Compress compression formats.
Make
Self-Extracting: The selected files
and folders are compressed into an archive using the format specified
in the Compression tab
of the Options sheet.
The resulting archive will then be opened in the SEA
creation tool where self extracting options can be set. Note: When
using StuffIt Standard, the archive will automatically be made into a
simple self-extracting archive.
