Catalog Tab

The Catalog tab is designed to provide a quick and easy way to find archives and encoded files located on your computer, on any mapped network drive, or any inserted removable media such as CD ROMs. When you open the catalog tab, it will immediately start the process of building a list of available archives. The list of archives is sorted by archive format, the following archive types are cataloged:

• Zip (.zip)

• StuffIt (.sit)

• StuffIt X (.sitx)

• RAR (.rar)

• Tape Archives (.tar)

Once the process of building the catalog has completed, the results are displayed in the tab. Both the name of the archive, and its location are displayed. If you double click one of the archives, you will be prompted to either open it for browsing or to immediately start expanding its contents.

You can choose additional actions by right clicking on a file in the list:

• View: Opens the selected archive for browsing in the StuffIt Deluxe application.

• Expand: Expands the contents of the selected archive.

• Reveal: Opens the directory that contains the file in Windows Explorer.

• Mail: Attaches the selected archive to a new email message.

• Delete: Deletes the selected archive.
