Backing up DVD allows you to copy the contents of the DVD to your hard drive. After you have backup your DVD to the hard drive, you can:
- Play the backup DVD directly from your hard drive
- You can directly burn the contents of the backup DVD using Nero or other DVD burning softwares.

1. Choose the mode that you want to backup. If you want to clone the DVD, then choose Backup Entire DVD disc. On the other hand, if you want to copy only the main movie part, then choose Backup Main Movie Only. If your DVD is DVD-9, a checkbox will be visible. This checkbox allows you to choose if you want to compress your DVD-9 (8.5 GigaBytes) movie so that it will fit a single DVD-5 (4.7Gigabytes) disc.
2. If you want to split your DVD-9 into two DVD-5 discs, then choose the last option.
3. Select the directory where you want to store your backup DVD files.
4. Click the start button to begin backup.
Note: When you choose Backup Main Movie Only, an option button will appear. When you click this button, a Select DVD Audio and Subtitles dialog will be shown where you can choose to include or exclude audio tracks and subtitles in the files to be backup:
