Autorip

Radiotracker's Autorip settings allow you to tightly control how Radiotracker searches for and rips broadcasters. This allows you to customize Radiotracker to match your personal musical taste.

You can open the selection mode window right next to the upper "Start" Button.

Radiotracker provides you with three different rip mode options, depending on which version of the software you are using:

Demo version:
The Demo version contains modes "Genre" and "Favorites". And you have the option to start recordings manually. But the number of tracks you can rip and  is limited to 25 an it can only be used for 5 days.
Premium version:
The Premium Version provides unlimited ripping with the same features like the Demo version.
Platinum version:
The Platinum version extends the possibilities of the Premium version with the advanced feature "Wishlist" and the selection mode "Taste in music".

If you want to find out which version of Radiotracker you're using, refer to the section Registration.

Choose a selection mode and "Start" recording.

At least one selection mode must be activated; by default this is "Genre." You can combine 2 or even 3 selection modes if you like. Radiotracker will select a few stations for each mode simultaneously.

The rip mode configuration controls: Activation and configuration for the 3 various recording options.

The "Genre" Selection Mode

This selection mode is described in the section Getting Started.

Radiotracker comes with a built-in list of approximately 13,000 internet radio stations, pre-categorized by music genre. Simply select a genre that suites your personal musical taste or desire.

Activate this selection mode using the "Genre" check box in the selection mode window, select a music genre from the drop-down list and start the ripping process by clicking on the "Start" button.

The "Favorites" Selection Mode

This selection mode allows you to set up targeted ripping of your favorite radio stations. When you activate this mode for the first time, Radiotracker will ask you to define your Favorites.

Define your favorites, activate this selection mode using the "Favorites" check box in the selection mode window and start the ripping process by clicking on the "Start" button.

To see how to define your favorites go to Station Management.

The "Taste in Music" Selection Mode

This mode records the stations which play your favorite songs and artists. Radiotracker not only knows approximately 13,000 broadcasters and 77,000 artists, but also knows how often a song is played by a station. The "Wishlist" mode gives you the ability to "wish" for specific artist or music titles you would like to have recorded. Radiotracker will then select the station that plays your wish most often. This way you get a lot of songs from your favorite genres in addition to the ones you have "wished" for.

If you are interested in recording specific songs or artists, use the Wishlist.

Define your Wishlist,  activate this selection mode using the "Wishlist" check box in the selection mode window, and start the ripping process by clicking on the "Start" button.

Read the section Defining a Wishlist to see how it is done.
