Unprotect documents
To start unprotect documents you need to add password protected documents to the list using either the File -> Add directory... / Add files... menu items or the "Add..." button below the documents list. If you choose to add directory, in the appeared dialog you will need to select the directory that contains the password protected documents you wish to add. The program will scan the directory (and all it's sub directories if you chose "Recurse subdirectories" option) for MS Word and Excel documents. You should scan a specific folder (C:My Documents) rather than your entire hard drive (i.e. C:) to shorten the time it takes for the program to scan for documents.
After you have added password protected documents to the list, click "Unprotect" button. In the appeared menu select "All" item to unprotect all documents from the list or "Selected" item to unprotect only selected documents, or "Only <simple protection>" item to unprotect only documents with <simple protection>. When the unprotection is started, the program unprotects all documents with <strong protection> and <simple protection> as shown below.

Documents with <strong protection> require the use of online document decryption service.
The search for a decryption key is done on our powerful specialized server, while the actual decryption is performed on your computer.
The maximum time needed to remove <strong protection> is about 15 seconds and it does not depend on the password length. Since our server works with just two dozen of service bytes, you can be sure that your privacy is protected. No sensitive data ever leave your computer through our service traffic.
When the program removes the <strong protection> from the document, it displayes the following messages in the status bar:
1. Connecting to the Rixler Server
2. Receiving a response from the Server
3. Searching for the decryption key
4. Decrypting the document
Upon completion of the unprotection process the program displays the following message: "The unprotection has finished !". After that you will be able to open decrypted documents in MS Word or Excel. If you use the unregistered version of Office Multi-document Password Cracker, the documents with <strong protection> decrypted partially. The name of the decrypted file will consist of the original document name and the word "(DEMO)". The original document will not be modified. Documents with <simple protection> unprotected only in case of "test" password. If the password is not equal to "test" you will see <demo> in the protection field.
After you register the program, it will allow you to unprotect documents without limitations described above. Since the unprotection procedure in the registered version is applied to the original document, it is automatically backed up. The backup copy will be saved to the folder where the original document is stored and it will have the same name with the *.bak extension. Due to the backup operation, the possibility of modifying your original document is ruled out.
Each time you decrypt documents with <strong protection> in the registered version, one decryption credit will be subtracted from your registration key. Select Help -> Enter registration code to see how many decryption credits you have left. You will see the “Number of decryption credits” label and the number of your credits. If your decryption credits ended, the program will start trimming documents and ask you to buy a new registration code for complete decryption.
