Repairing your Registry

 

The Scan Results Window summarises the problems found in your Windows Registry.

 

 

Below the Attention Bar is a list of the errors found by Registry Booster. You may scroll this list and select individual entries to repair and which to leave unchanged.

 

By default, Registry Booster will repair all the identified errors.  To change your selection for individual registry errors, tick the check box from to .  By clicking the "Uncheck All" Button all errors will be marked as and none of these errors will be repaired. To reverse this selection click on the "Check All" Button.

 

Registry Booster also allows you to create a backup of your registry entries before repairing errors found. To do this click on the Create Backup Button:

 

 

 

Always create a backup before repairing your registry.

 

 

 

To repair the selected errors click on the Repair Registry Button:

 

 

By default, Registry Booster is set to take a backup of your registry whether you have manually created a backup of the registry yourself. Upon clicking on the Repair Registry Button, the following pop-up appears:

 

 

If you have not taken a backup, click "Yes". If you have taken a backup or otherwise, click "No".  

 

 

If you do not backup your Registry, you will be unable to revert to your present configuration.

 

 

Once Registry Booster starts repairing your registry, the following Progress Screen appears showing you the progress of the repair feature.  This may take a few minutes and depends entirely on how many and the type of errors have been found in your Registry.

 

 

To stop repairs at any time click on the Stop Button

 

 

You will be prompted to confirm your decision.

 

Once repairs are complete, the following screenshot appears:

 

 

When you click "OK", Registry Booster takes you back to the System Overview Screen.

 

 

You will notice that your System Overview report has been updated with the date of the last scan and the number of errors found. At the bottom of the user interface, you will also notice that the Summary Bar now shows you the number of errors found and the number of registry errors repaired.
