Support features of the program

Kaspersky Anti-Virus includes a number of support features. They are designed to provide software support in real time, expanding the capabilities of the program and for assisting you as you use it.
Reports

When using the program, each protection component, virus search task, and program update creates a report. The reports contain information on completed operations and their results. By using the Reports feature, you will always stay up-to-date on the operation of all the Kaspersky Anti-Virus components. Should problems arise, you can send the reports to Kaspersky Lab so our specialists can study the situation in greater depth and help you as quickly as possible.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus sends all files suspected of being dangerous to a special Quarantine area. They are stored there in an encrypted form to avoid infecting the computer. You can scan these objects for viruses, restore them to their previous locations, delete them, or add files to Quarantine on your own. All files that turn out not to be infected upon completion of the virus scan are automatically restored to their former locations.

The Backup Storage holds copies of files disinfected and deleted by the program. These copies are created in case you need to restore the files or information on their infection. The backup copies of the files are also stored in an encrypted form to avoid further infections. You can restore a file from Backup to the original location and delete the copy.

Activation

When purchasing Kaspersky Anti-Virus, you enter into a licensing agreement with Kaspersky Lab which governs the use of the application as well as your access to application database updates and Technical Support over a specified period of time. The term of use and other information necessary for full functionality of the program are provided in a key file.

Using the Activation feature, you can find detailed information on the key you are using or purchase a new key.
