The GetRight tray icon has many options for accessing GetRight features.
These menu options are available by Right clicking on the GetRight tray icon. Double-clicking the tray icon will show the Download Status window.
Main Menu
| • | GetRight Download Status: This menu option brings up the dialog box so you may restart or delete selected downloads. (See Download Status) |
| • | URL: If a URL is copied to the clipboard, but is not one that is automatically caught by GetRight, it is shown here so you can more quickly add it to be downloaded. This saves a few clicks instead of picking Tools->Enter New URL then OK on that window. |
| • | Enter New URL: This menu option brings up a dialog box so you may type in the address of a file to be downloaded. You must enter the complete URL for the file. For example: http://www.getright.com/index.html |
| • | Configuration: This menu option brings up the GetRight configuration screen. |
Downloads Menu:
| • | Tile Download Windows: If you have several of GetRight's download windows open, you may pick this so they are tiled to not overlap. |
| • | Pause/Stop All: Pause or Stop all downloads that are in progress. |
| • | Start (Stop) Automatic Downloading: Set GetRight into "Automatic" mode. It will start up up to the number of files you have set for "Downloading XX files at the same time" and obey all the other server limits on the Limits configuration tab. When one download has completed, another will be started so it is back to your setting for "Downloading XX files atArial; the same time". It starts by downloading your Very High priority files first, then the High priority, etc. More Info |
| • | Schedule Download Start: GetRight can be made to wait and start "Automatic" mode at a later time. When the toggle menu is selected, then GetRight is in Scheduled mode. More Info |
| • | Turn Off Computer When Done: This toggle menu shows whether GetRight will turn off your computer when it has finished downloading. More Info |
| • | Hang Up When Done: This toggle menu shows whether GetRight will disconnect you from the Internet when files have finished downloading. More Info |
| • | Re-Dial if Disconnected: This toggle menu shows whether GetRight will try to redial and resume downloading if it is interrupted by the network connection being lost. More Info |
Tools Menu:
| • | GetRight Browser: This menu option brings up the GetRight Browser. This lets you browse FTP servers or web sites and easily add files for GetRight to download. |
| • | GetRight Dialer: This menu option brings up the GetRight Dialer screen. This is available to quickly use GetRight's Windows Dial-Up Networking dialer--one major advantage of using this is that it will redial if the line is busy. |
| • | GetRight Drop Target: This option will show the GetRight drag-and-drop target window. This window is used if you are using drag-and-drop to transfer files to download from your web browser. |
| • | Daily Downloads: A list of files that should be added to your list at different times on different days of the week. (See Daily Downloads). |
| • | QuickSync: Lets you search web sites or FTP sites for files to download. It is similar to the GetRight browser, but can show the results for an entire web site at once. It is helpful if you want to download a lot of files scattered throughout a web site. (All the images or ZIP or MP3 files, for example.) Or if you want to download the entire web site, it can do that, too! (See QuickSync). |
| • | Server Synchronizer: Lets you keep yourself current with sites you visit or download from often. GetRight can search a server and find the files which you do not have on your computer or the ones that have changed. (See Server Synchronizer). |
| • | GetRight Proxy: (GetRight Pro Feature!) Enables (and shows the window) for the GetRight Proxy. This allows other programs to download through GetRight Pro and take advantage of its resuming, dialing, and other features. |
| • | Check for a Newer Version of GetRight: Does just that. If there is a newer version, you will be able to click on the window that checks to go to the GetRight web site and get the update. |
Options Menu
| • | Clipboard and Click Monitoring: This allows you to quickly enable or disable all monitoring of the clipboard or your web browser. You will not need to restart your web browser for this to take effect. |
| • | Play GetRight Sounds: This gives a quick way to mute all the GetRight sounds. |
| • | Use Proxy Servers: This only appears if you have proxy server settings in the GetRight Configuration. If so, you may easily turn on or off GetRight using the proxy servers for connecting. |
Recent Finished Files:
| • | This lists the last 8 items that GetRight finished downloading. Simply select an item to quickly run or view the file that was downloaded. This also provides access to the History folder on the Download Status window. |
Scripts:
| • | (GetRight Pro Feature!) This menu will be include if you have enabled Scripting in GetRight Pro. This will allow you to run scripts you write. You can either browse to find a script to run, or select from a list of the recent scripts in the menu. |

| • | Holding some keys down when double-clicking the tray icon will do some "shortcuts" to different commands: |
