Server Synchronizer lets you keep yourself current with sites you visit or download from often. GetRight can search a server and find the files which you do not have on your computer or the ones that have changed.

QuickSync vs Server Synchronizer: QuickSync is intended for sites you wish to match with once, such as to grab all the images or sound files. Server Synchronizer is intended for sites you wish to repeat and match with your computer often, such as making a backup copy of the files for your web server.
| • | Sync: Runs the currently selected synchronization. |
| • | Add: Creates a new Synchronizer item. Clicking this will open a blank Synchronizer Properties window. |
NOTE: The shareware version of GetRight will only allow one synchronization item. The registered version allows more.
• Edit: Opens the Synchronizer Properties window for the currently selected item.
| • | Copy: Copies the currently selected synchronization item to another record. If you want several synchronizations that are similar, copying one can save time since you will not need to re-enter all the information. |
| • | Delete: Removes the selected synchronization item. |
| • | URL: Opens the GetRight browser. If a synchronizer item is selected, the browser will open to that URL. |
| • | Help: Opens the help file with information about synchronizing. |
| • | OK: Closes the Synchronizer window. |
You can use a Server Synchronizer item in the Daily Downloads! In the Daily Downloads, for the URL field, just use the format sync:<name> where <name> is the Name you've given the Server Synchronizer item. (The first column on the Server Synchronizer page.) This lets you easily setup so GetRight can do things like download the latest files from a website every morning.
GetRight Pro: you can drag-and-drop any files or folders onto an item listed on the Server Synchronizer (or even these items where they're listed on the Download Status) and the files will be added as uploads to that server. This is much easier than having to log into the server to upload files!
