With Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Some web sites do things differently which can make GetRight's monitoring either not start a file that it should, or incorrectly take over for a file that it should not.
| • | If you hold the SHIFT key down when clicking a link in your web browser, GetRight will not catch any link that is clicked. This is useful for some forms or search engines that look like .EXE files for GetRight to download. |
| • | If you hold both the CTRL and ALT keys down when clicking, GetRight will get any link that is clicked. This is useful to download an image or some other type of file that is not usually handled by GetRight. |
Temporarily disabling all monitoring:
• You may temporarily disable all monitoring (both clipboard and Netscape/Microsoft web browsers) by using the "Clipboard and Click Monitoring" menu item from Right clicking on the GetRight logo in your tray icons 
. If there is a check by this menu, then your monitoring as setup here is enabled. If there is no check, then GetRight will not monitor any of these. You will not need to restart your web browser for this change to take effect.
Always ignoring clicks for specific web sites:
If a site that you often use has files being taken over by GetRight when they shouldn't; on the Monitor--Types & Options configuration tab in GetRight, add the server name in the box for "Ignore all clicks for server(s)".
| • | For example, if GetRight tries to download the search program http://www.xyzsearch.com/search.exe instead of letting the browser handle it and show the search results, add *.xyzsearch.com in the box to tell GetRight to never take over clicks for that web site. |
Other web browsers use different features to take over the download, so these key combinations and ignore-lists won't work.
