Billing Cycle & Billing Period
 
At the recurring invoice template, click the Billing Cycle Image ci00057.GIF button to bring up the Billing Cycle & Billing Period dialog.
 
BILLING CYCLE
Here you can specify the interval or frequency you want Instant Invoice 2007 to generate a recurring invoices.
 
Base Period : Your options are either weekly, monthly or yearly
 
Once Every  : Within the base period chosen, you can specify additional options. For example, if you chose "Weekly" as your base period, you can then specify to generate this invoice once every 2 weeks if necessary, on a specified day. Or if your base period is monthly, you can specify once every 3 months (quarterly) on a specified date or on the last date of the month.
 
Pause : You can pause or skip an invoice from a billing cycle. If for any reason you cannot send out and invoice for the next billing cycle, put a check against the pause option here. When the time comes to generate that invoice, you will be reminded about it. However when Instant Invoice sees the pause, instead of generating it, it not generate it but skip it. It will also calculate and insert the next billing date according to your billing cycle.
 
Remind Me : Every time you open a database, Instant Invoice will prompt you if recurring invoices are due to be generated. Or you can check yourself using the menu option Go To | Recurring Invoices | Check If Ready To Generate. You can specify how many days in advanced you wish to be notified. Instant Invoice 2007 does not generate invoices without your approval. It will merely remind you if invoices are due to be generated, you then have indicate if you want to generate it or not.
 
Next Invoice Date : The date that the next invoice should be generated for the first invoice you need to define it. For future invoices, the next invoice date is automatically calculated based on the billing cycle specified.
 
Covers Billing Period From : For the start, you need to indicate the billing period for the first recurring invoice. From then on, Instant Invoice can compute the billing period for subsequent invoices based on the billing cycle specified and the start billing period.
