About the Database Upgrade Wizard
 
If you have a database created from our classic versions InstantInvoice 3 or InstantCashBook 3, you can easily upgrade this database such that it can be opened by Instant Invoice n Cashbook 2007. The upgrade is such that a new database is created and the content from the version 3 database is imported over. The older version 3 database is not modified in any way hence after the upgrade, you will have 2 sets of databases. The original version will be left intact so you can continue to open and work with it with InstantInvoice 3 or InstantCashBook 3. Then you will have a new upgraded database that you can open with the new version of Instant Invoice n CashBook 2007.
 
When you first run Instant Invoice n Cashbook 2007, it checks to see if you have any classic version 3 databases. If so, it autmatically starts the Database Upgrade Wizard. If the database is not detected, you can start the wizard yourself by clicking the  Image ci00058.GIF button then browse to your version 3 database to open it. Instant Invoice n CashBook 2007 automatically detect the classic version and starts the upgrade wizard.
 
 
Select Modules to Upgrade Page : Select the module/s you want to upgrade. If you are using both InstantInvoice 3 and InstantCashBook 3 and have a database for the same company, this version can merge both databases together. Otherwise select either InstantInvoice 3 or InstantCashBook 3.
 
Location Of Source Database To Upgrade : On this page you need to specify the location of your version 3 databases. You can click the Image ci00059.GIF button to browse to the folder locations.
 
Location Of New Destination Database : Here you indicate where you want to create your new database. My Personal Folder means that Instant Invoice n Cashbook 2007 will suggest a location in your personal folder. Other users of this computer may not easily access this folder. A Shared Folder For All Users Of This Computer means you will be given a folder that is accessible to all users of this computer.
 
Ready To Create New Database & Upgrade : Click the [Next] button to start the ugprade process. A new database will be created and the destination and data from the specified source database/s will be copied over.
