Excel Recovery Toolbox is a program for recovering corrupted Microsoft Excel files. The program extracts information from corrupted and unreadable Microsoft Excel files and exports the data to a new Excel file. The program works with corrupted files of the Excel 97, 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 formats. If:

• Microsoft Excel cannot read the source xls file (error: Microsoft Excel unable to read file . . . );
• the format of the source file is unknown to Microsoft Excel (error: This file is not in a recognizable format . . . );
• an internal Microsoft Excel error occurs and the system forces the program to be closed (error: EXCEL.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows);
• it is impossible to access the file (error: '????.xls' cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding);
• etc.

You can see and evaluate what data can be recovered from the corrupted xls file right away on the second page of the program. The program allows you to view the data recovered from the corrupted file similar to the way it is displayed in Microsoft Excel.

The program recovers xls files:

• corrupted by viruses;
• corrupted by antivirus software;
• corrupted because of failures in the equipment;
• corrupted because of failures in media (HDD, CD, DVD and so on);
• corrupted because of incorrect operations performed by other software;
