Instance
An instance is a copy of a symbol pulled out of the Library panel. A symbol can have multiple different instances, which are independent to each other. You can set each instance's properties in the properties panel. While changes made to an individual instance don't affect the other instances or the symbol itself, changes to a symbol do affect all of its instances.
