Anti-Virus Component
The Anti-Virus component is in fact an AVG antivirus database. It cannot be configured but, as it serves for identifying known viruses, and there are new viruses being created every day, it is crucial that you update the Anti-Virus component regularly to keep the highest possible protection level. For updating the Anti-Virus component, there is the scheduled daily update task (see the Scheduler component to view or edit parameters of the task).
If you click (highlight) the Anti-Virus component, these control buttons become available:
| · | Update - allows you to manually update the component immediately. |
| · | Properties - shows general information about the component and allows you to define when and how it will be displayed in the AVG Control Center. |
