Any Capture Screen has four toolbars: main toolbar, draw toolbar, manage view tab bar, status bar.

Main toolbar

The main toolbar allows quick access to common menu items. Get information about this, please visit Main Menu.

Draw toolbar

Toolbar button layout (from left to right)

• View only mode browse the current image.
• Select region Select a rectangle region in the current image.
• Eraser Erase parts of the image to the background color.
• Flood Fill An area fill tool fills the same color area to the foreground color.
• Free hand Draw free lines on the image.
• Line Draw straight lines.
• Arrow Draw arrow lines.
• Color Picker Pick color from any part of the screen and change the foreground/background color.
• Rectangle Draw hollow rectangle.
• Rounded rectangle Draw hollow rounded rectangle.
• Ellipse Draw hollow ellipse shape.
• Polygon Draw hollow polygon shape.
• Filled Rectangle Draw filled rectangle.
• Filled Rounded Rectangle Draw filled rounded rectangle.
• Filled Ellipse Draw filled ellipse shape.
• Filled Polygon Draw filled polygon shape.
• Text Draw text descriptions on the image. You can also draw frames on it.
• Resize Change the current image size.
• Tool Width Adjust the default tool width.
• Foreground/Background Color Modify foreground/background color.

Manage view tab bar


The manage view tab bar shows all opened image file name. Click image file name tab to switch to the corresponding image view window. The color of active image view tab's title is blue. The color of normal image view tab's title is black. The color of modified image view tab's title is red and the asterisk(*) will be appended to the end of it's title.

Status bar


The status bar normally contains four information areas:

1. Information Area This area contains information displayed by menu item and toolbar button.
2. Mouse Position Area This area contains x-axis and y-axis coordinates of mouse.
3. Color Depth Area This area contains color depth of the current image.
4. Image Size Area This area contains the width and height of the current image in pixels.

Select the View/Status Bar menu item to toggle the status bar visibility.

Capture hint bar

The capture hint bar prompts what are you doing on capturing special region of screen. You can use ESC, SHIFT, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrow hotkey to finish your special operation.
