How to Password-protect Your Folder
Lock my Folder is a new folder password protected software that has a user-friendly interface. This guide will guide you through the entire process of protect your file/folder/disk with a password.

How to Use
- Start Lock My Folder by clicking the icon on your desktop or in your start menu.
- A dialogue box will appear to ask for a password,

for the first time you run Lock My Folder, you need to in put a password, which can be changed in the setting menu later, and next time Lock My Folder can only be started with the password.
- or you need to input the password to run Lock My Folder.

Add file

- Click this button to add a file/files that you want to lock.

Add folder

- Click this button to add a folder/folders that you want to lock.

Add disk |
- Click this button to add a disk/disks that you want to lock.

Lock all
|
- Lock all the items you added in the list below.

Unlock all |
- Unlock all the items in the list below.

- You can right click your mouse on the item in the list below to lock/unlock only the selected items

For users with FAT/FAT32 file systems
Lock My Folder can NOT lock items on FAT/FAT32 file system. We support NTFS currently, if you now use FAT/FAT32 file system, you can convert it to NTFS easily and safely.

NTFS is a high-performance and self-healing file system proprietary to Windows XP 2000 NT, which supports file-level security, compression and auditing. It also supports large volumes and powerful storage solution.
How to convert FAT/FAT32 to NTFS?
If you are using Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, you can follow the instruction to convert your file system to NTFS.
start->run->cmd
type:
CONVERT volume /FS:NTFS [/V] [/CvtArea:filename] [/NoSecurity] [/X]
eg. convert C: /fs:NTFS
you may type convert /? for help first.
