- BPM calculation
- Define your own start and end points if you don't want to use silence detection

- Play the output of any Player through any soundcard
|
Some DJs can have hundreds or even thousands of sound samples (or carts, as they are sometimes called) depending on the size of their venue. liveDJpro makes a breeze of managing large amounts of sound samples. liveDJpro offers up to 10* Sample Players, all being able to access any one of 100* Sample Banks. Each Sample Bank can store 200 samples. This gives instant access to a maximum of 20,000 Samples at any one time. If that's not enough, you can easily search for more and play them within a few seconds.
The image above shows a simple Sample Player configuration. It's only 5 Samples wide by 4 Samples high. This can be extended to 10 Samples wide by 20 Samples high. |
- Resize a Sample Player to your desired width and height
- Full keyboard control
- Play up to 5 Samples simultaneously on each Sample Player
- Define up to 100 Sample Banks and access them from any Sample Player
- Switch between Sample Banks instantly
- Play the output of any Sample Player through any soundcard

With up to 10* simultaneous Playlists available, there's no shortage of control here.
Easily manage your media files and see exactly what you're about to play.
The contents of each Playlist are automatically saved when the application closed so everything remains the same when you reload liveDJpro. You can also see in an instant how long your Playlist is (in time) plus the total duration of the selected items. As above, you can see that the Playlist is over 6 hours long and the user has selected 1 hour and 39 minutes worth of items. |
| Without the Query Windows, setting up a decent performance would be quite difficult, unless you already had some great Playlists handy. The Query Window is where you make all of your searches. You can perform multiple searches at the same time and have up to 10* Query Windows open simultaneously.
You can also accurately add the correct duration of items to a Playlist by checking the Query window status bar. As you can see from the image above, four tracks have been selected totalling 14 minutes and 28 seconds in total.

 |
Mixers help you to control the smooth fading in and out of your Players. liveDJpro allows you have up to 10* Mixers simultaneously available.

| Filters mainly operate in tandem with the Query Windows and are especially useful for completely automated environments and/or systems with an extremely large list of available media files.
Filters can be configured in millions of different ways, which is why they are so simple to use. Up to 10* Filters can used simultaneously, and each filter can have 20 rows and 2 columns of criteria.

| liveDJpro Olive Edition FAQ |
| Q: |
liveDJpro sometimes crashes. Some of the controls show with a red border with a red cross in them. |
| A : |
This is caused by corrupt graphics drivers, outdated graphics drivers or because graphics acceleration is enabled on your graphics card. First make sure that graphics acceleration is disabled. If that still doesn't work, ensure that your graphics drivers are right up to date. Also make sure that you're using Direct X 8 or higher. |
| Q: |
Does liveDJpro have a beat-matching facility? |
| A : |
liveDJpro is not designed for that particular market, although the waveform on each of the Players will attempt to calculate the BPM (beats-per-minute) value, so you could theoretically mix the track yourself if you found the first downbeat and are using more than one output device.
In a future release, we plan to add a function where the Players will adjust their tempo or pitch to match a fixed BPM so all of the tracks automatically play at the same speed. |
| Q: |
What file types can liveDJpro play? |
| A : |
liveDJpro can play MP3 (MPEG layer 3 audio stream), WAV (waveform audio), OGG (Ogg Vorbis codec compressed WAV), WMA (Windows Media Audio), MOD (Amiga & PC tracker module), AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format), FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec), AAC (MPEG-2 Advance Audio Coding), M4A (MPEG-4 Audio layer) and AC3 (AC3 audio) files. liveDJpro can also play the audio stream from ASF (Advanced Streaming Format), WMV (Windows Media Video) and MP4 (MPEG-4 video) files. |
| Q: |
Is it possible to use a microphone with liveDJpro? |
| A : |
Yes, but it won't matter if you use liveDJpro or not. DJs normally connect their computer soundcard(s) to an external mixer and connect one or more microphones to that. The mixer then either connects to an amplifier to power some speakers or the output is broadcast to another device, such as the Internet.

| Q: |
Can liveDJpro only play live music or can it play pre-recorded music as well? |
| A : |
liveDJpro essentially plays pre-recorded music such as MP3's and WMA files, but it is designed to be used in a live environment such as in a radio station or in a bar or club with a dance floor. You can do anything with the output of liveDJpro, so there is nothing stopping you from recording your DJ performance and playing it at a later date back through liveDJpro or even a different media player.

liveDJpro looks complicated. Is it? |
| A : |
Once you get the hang of it, liveDJpro is very easy to work with. There is a large amount of help available with liveDJpro as it comes with its own HTML help file with the installation. If you're a first-timer with liveDJpro, we strongly suggest you read the Getting Started section of the help file. |
| Q: |
Does liveDJpro need any special equipment? |
| A : |
Not really. The only piece of equipment the liveDJpro needs is a computer that meets the minimum requirements . It also depends on what you plan to do with the output from liveDJpro. Many Internet DJs don't need anything other than a computer. Other DJs may connect a mixer to their computer and then broadcast the output to an audience in the same room or over the air waves. If you have purchased liveDJpro, we can would be glad to offer help and advice in setting up your sound system.
|
| Q: |
liveDJpro is listed on my software web site but it is out of date. Can you update it please? |
A : |
We have submitted liveDJpro to hundreds of sites but we only update listings on sites which drive a very large amount of traffic to our web site. Resubmitting to every site after each update just isn't possible as we frequently release updates to liveDJpro. You can update the listing yourself by using the liveDJpro PAD file on our downloads page. Also, a lot of software sites automatically poll the liveDJpro PAD file and update their listings without any human intervention. These sites normally rank top in our referrals because liveDJpro always appears as 'updated' or 'new'.
