Creating Opt-in List Builder

KMailer helps you build your own permission-based contact lists with just a few clicks, and therefore turn website visitors into subscribers and subscribers into customers.
Simply add a subscribe icon to your site inviting visitors to subscribe or sign up. When visitors click on the icon, a window pops up requesting their contact information. That information is automatically added to a contact list in your KMailer account.
The sign-up form supports all kinds of interface elements, including: text box, text area, check box, radio button, dropdown menu, etc. Besides this, KMailer also supports for double opt-in, that is, KMailer will send an email to subscriblers requesting that they confirm before adding them to the contact database. This feature is very useful for validating the subscriber's email address.
To create a new list builder, please select menu: "File" -> "New" -> "List Builder". KMailer will open the "New List Builder" window, and through this step-by-step wizard, you can :
1. Name and describe the new list builder.
2. Contact Database Selection
Select a contact database to link to the new list builder. as list builder collects contacts, it will add them into the selected database.
3. Create Sign-up Form
Select the fields from your contact database to include in your Sign-up form. Indicate which fields are mandatory (required), and enter the labels you want your visitors to see on your website's opt-in form.
4. Select image
Select a clickable image to act as your opt-in link on your website. you can use one of the images supplied below or you can use a custom image that you have created.
5. Subscription Method
Use single opt-in or double opt-in. You can have the new list builder add contacts directly to the contact database (Single opt-in) or send an email to subscribers requesting that they confirm before adding them to the contact database. (Double opt-in)
6. Activate the List Builder
You should activate the list builder before you can use it to collect subscribers. Just click the "Activate the List Builder" button to activate this new list builder.
7. Update Your Website
Once activated the new list builder, you should add this list builder to your website. Follow the instructions provided by the wizard to update your home page.
