TCP Configurations
TCP Configuration is the main unit of the IPSwitcher Basic. To be more precise - TCP Configuration (or simply - configuration) is a set of IP address, Default Gateway, Network mask, List of DNS Servers and WINS Servers, NetBIOS over TCP/IP options. In case if you will edit selected configuration -changes won't be saved until you explicitly save editable configuration. When TCP configuration is applied - it will be saved automatically.
Let's look on TCP Configurations pane. It contains list of all existing configurations (saved from your previous sessions and currently created). You can load any of these configurations (for changing or applying), create new or delete selected configuration:
1. Load Selected Configuration
In order to load selected configuration you have to select it from the TCP Configurations pane by arrow keys or by mouse clicking. This does not mean selected configuration will be applied once highlighted. This means that all configuration data (such as IP addresses, Gateways, DNS and so on) will be shown in the edit fields. After that you can actually apply this configuration by clicking Apply button on the toolbar (or select Configuration->Apply menu item) or change anything you want (Advance Edit screen will give you full control on the selected TCP Configuration).
2. Create New Configuration
New configuration could be created by following methods: INS key (when cursor selection is within TCP Configuration pane), ToolBar New button or Menu item (Configuration->New). You should know that all new configurations are created based on the currently selected configuration, which is used as a template. So if you want to create new configuration based on a special template - you should select (highlight) desired configuration and then select appropriate Toolbar button or select menu item.
3. Delete Selected Configuration
Currently selected configuration (highlighted) will be deleted by pressing Delete Toolbar button, Configuration->Delete menu item or DEL key. You should confirm deletion.
Please check Main Screen Operation section of this manual to get more information about operations with TCP Configuration.
NOTE: It's important to know that each TCP configuration contains information about correspondent network adapter. Sometimes on loading (or even during work of the program) some of the network adapters could be disabled (or enabled). In case if you will try to select configuration with the currently disabled network adapter - you will be prompted to select any of the currently enabled network adapters. In case if all configurations don't have any valid network adapter - program will quit.
