Spy Sweeper 5.5.7.122 Spy Sweeper - detect and remove all common forms of spyware programs including Trojans, system monitors, keyloggers and adware

Pros: Ease to use, very much effective and the company offers free technical support, including live telephone support.
Cons: It is a bit of a resource hog. It installs the Ask.com toolbar, and it does not offer antivirus protections unless you pay $10 more.
Benefits:
Today, most of our important personal information is stored on PC, including credit card and banking details, personal business data and the login name/password to some websites. Some intruders could thieve the above information through spyware, or change our homepage and favorites, and pop up excessive numbers of adverts with adware, furthermore they may leave certain malware to slow down our PCs or just make them crash.
We need a powerful antispyware tool to defend our computer and our identity from prying spyware, since some spyware and malware are commendably good at concealing themselves –commonly bundled with software downloads, attached to e-mails, or transmitted through networks. Spy Sweeper is the right tool to beat off malicious, information seeking applications to keep your data private and safe.
Spy Sweeper is effective and easy to use; it has some nice features to go along with keeping spyware and ad's under control. It always stays one step ahead of spyware with adaptive technology that anticipates spyware mutations before they have an accepted defense definition. And it also utilizes rootkit technology to dig out malicious programs that try to conceal themselves deep within your computer.
This program offers three different scans: Full Sweep - scans all the files on your computer's attached drives; Quick Scan - offers a fast and light pass of your main drive system, it could promptly quarantine and access levels of risks in less than a minute; and Selective Sweep - allows you to select individual drives or folders or exclude extensions.
Spy Sweeper is a good helper to us; it would always alert us when there was a potential risk of spyware and would constantly monitor our internet traffic for risks. What makes me feel a little pity is that it installs the Ask.com toolbar, which seems odd for an antispyware product to do; so, I have to be vigilant when I fall across the situation.
Set up:
Spy Sweeper installs quickly and easily, however, be aware that during installation Webroot will also try to install the Ask.com toolbar onto your PC. And removing Spy Sweeper will not remove the toolbar, so be sure to uncheck the Ask.com box before proceeding with the installation.
Whenever you want to uninstall this program, it is as easy is installation. Just click the Uninstall icon, the entire program will be removed from your PC. After reboot, we found no trace of Spy Sweeper in the Program Files directory or the system registry. However, if you’ve installed the Ask.com toolbar unheedingly, it needs to be uninstalled separately.
Interface:
Spy Sweeper is extremely easy to use and has a well–organized interface with tabs for all major functions. This program takes the guess work out of configuring your security with easy–to–understand recommended settings and alerts for when you need to update.
This program is so simple to use that computer novices can configure their settings, yet it offers the kind of protection that power users demand.
System Requirements:
Before you install and run Spy Sweeper, make sure your computer meets the following requirements:
Operating systems: Windows® 2000, Windows XP (Professional, Home, Media Center, or Tablet) or Windows Vista™ (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate).
Processor: 300 MHz
Hard drive space: 100 megabytes
RAM: 256 megabytes
Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher) or FireFox 2.0 (or higher), for updating that require linking to the Internet.
Conclusion:
Spy Sweeper can protect your computer no matter what you do online. So, you can explore the Internet, download files and share files without worries. Additionally, all updates are free and technical support is free.
There are other two powerful antispyware programs I should recommend to you – Spyware Doctor and CounterSpy. All the programs would find spyware that the other didn’t, if you are not satisfied with Spy Sweeper, you could install them and have a try.
