SpamJam

SpamJam is the antispam program for Windows, compatible with almost any POP3 mail server and client software. SpamJam operates on your PC as a local mail proxy and ensures that spam is never downloaded to your PC. Filtering rules can utilize both binary logic and probabilistic approach, and can be organized into an hierarchical tree of an arbitrary level of complexity. Full control over message retrieval/deletion. Plugins support, including automatic learning/enhancement for better spam recognition. For the sake of the traffic reduction, it is assumed by default that only message header should be analyzed and downloaded onto your PC, but message body can be also downloaded (partially or totally) for in-depth analysis.

SpamJam is distributed with a predefined filtering rules and plugins, that cover most common spam patterns. Nevertheless, for better spam recognition it is highly recommended to supplement them with custom rules reflecting distinctive features of a user's correspondence. Registered users get notifications about updates for common filtering rules and plugins, which are continuously being modified as spam patterns change.

Starting from SpamJam 2.2, the program ships in extended Workgroup edition, which was previously available for registered users only. Workgroup edition of SpamJam has all the features of Personal edition and also the embedded HTTP-server enabling you to access and manage your SpamJam mailboxes with a browser, throughout an Intranet or even from Internet.
