Pros: It is easy to use and could filter junk mail precisely after some training

Cons: Filtering larger amounts of mail will take some time with Spam Reader.

Benefits:
Spam is a plague of the modern Internet, which intrudes our email for hawking some goods or spreading useless information. Various techniques were developed to protect our e-mail, and Spam Reader is one of the most powerful tools to solve that problem.

It is an anti-spam add-on for Microsoft Outlook that extends this strong Email software's functionality with a Bayesian spam filter – which means the filtering will automatically adapt and learn from messages that you designate as spam or good mail. In order to avoid filtering the important mail accidently, you could add mail senders into White lists that are excluded from filtering or define keywords and phrases that will always cause the message to be recognized as good mail.

Spam Reader does not break your existing Outlook filtering rules. This allows you to safely use it with multiple mail list folders and Usenet accounts. It automatically scans your incoming messages and filters spam into a designated Spam folder, from where you can review and delete it. The filtering results were very good, and the program caught most common spam without any further adjustment. So, Spam Reader is easy to use, does not require any maintenance and provides excellent filtering right after installation, it is fairly a nice program for us.

Set up:
Spam Reader does not contain any adware or spyware, the latest version is 2.5, and it won’t take you much time to download this anti-spam software (1.20 MB). Following the prompts, you could easily finish the installation.
If you want to uninstall this program, it is as easy as installation. Hit the “Uninstall” button, the entire program will be removed from your computer with no trace left.

Interface:
After installing it, you will see a new toolbar and a new item in the main Outlook menu. It is easy to use, and considering its powerful features, there is no need to run an external program.

System Requirements:
The program supports Exchange, POP3, IMAP, and HTTP mail accounts, works with Microsoft Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007.
It is fully compatible with Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP and Windows Vista. As a light weight program, its hardware requirements could be ignored.

Conclusion:
Spam Reader’s slogan is “We do not promise to stop spam, but we guarantee it will not bother you.”, and it performs exactly as promised. Thanks to Reverend Tom Bayes and Spam Reader, we now have a cure against spam.
