When Servers Alive detects a down condition, it can respond with a wide array of notifications and alerts, including sending an e-mail (SMTP) saying what is down, paging you with a numeric or alphanumeric warning, executing a program, playing a sound, creating a web or WAP page, and restarting an NT service.
Servers Alive can monitor up to 1,000 entries, including all TCP services (FTP, NNTP, POP3, SMTP, DNS, SSH), UDP services (Radius, Quake II, CITRIX server, and many game servers), NT and 2000 services, disk space, URL checks (HTTP, HTTPS, RTSP, MMS), MS SQL servers, Oracle databases, Netware servers, SNMP devices, and custom, user-written checks.
The program is the first monitoring program to support WAP pages viewable with wireless devices. Servers Alive also supports host dependency, and can be easily interrogated using either a telnet client or a web browser.
