GetRight 6.3b+02 Improves your file downloading with resuming of broken downloads, error recovery, download acceleration
Review by Michael E. Callahan aka Dr. File Finder
Once I find products that I want to look at, I have to download them. For that I use GetRight, by Headlight Software. This product is one of my "Favorites" and it's the product I use on all my computers. In 25 years of evaluating software I've looked at over 220,000 programs and I have downloaded all of them. Big or small I've watched each one download. In the early days I used Zmodem, a file transfer protocol that would let you restart broken downloads. In the days of the Internet, I use GetRight! It starts when my computer does and I often have 4 or more files downloading at one time. And if something happens, like a power outage, all of my file transfers are safe and I can resume them right where they left off. That's a big deal if you're downloading a 500 megabyte file. I won't download without GetRight.
GetRight can also be used to schedule downloads for a later time, dial an Internet connection, remember necessary passwords, and even turn off your computer after downloads have completed. It has so many features that you have to check it out for yourself. It integrates beautifully with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, and Opera. With the size of files getting larger, it's crazy, in my opinion, to download without "protection." Yes, I've tried many other download managers, but GetRight is the one I use. I don't do a download without GetRight ... Period! So, take the time to check it out.
