Pros: Easy to use, high stability, and the interface is friendly to the novices.
Cons: The installation is complex and reboot after installation without informing you.
Benefits:
There are several ways people could send and receive their personal files, such as p2p services, ftp services and http services. why not to try to use your personal email account? Orewere offers us a powerful utility - EMail File Explorer. If we have our own email accounts, it could let us synchronize/upload/send files via Internet easily.
We all know that there is an upper limit on email’s attachment; you would doubt that if your files are beyond the limitation, could EFE upload them favorably without disrupting you? The answer is YES. Before upload/download the file, it automatic split the file in background to match the limitation. After transmission, the combine operation of the segments back to the original file, works in background too, so you are working with your file only (no parts to collect, to store, to merge by you).
The speed of sending and receiving personal files is amazing, because it is built on .NET technology; EMail File Explorer uses fast approach in uploading and downloading files. With EMail File Explorer you can keep your file copies/backup on email server, backup your files; upload files with any size and download files from email server, etc.
Set up:
The installation is not very easy for users especially the novices; some complex steps prevent them from trying EFE, let alone ordering it. However, there is no spyware or adware combined with the setup file.
When we never need this program, we could uninstall it through a uninstall button. But it will stop to force us to fill in a form (choose an option) during the installation. Although our choices may help this program improve itself, it is not polite asking by this way.
Interface:
The GUI is clean and concise, you could catch 90% of the functions by the bottoms’’ self-explanation, and it is easy to operate.
System Requirements:
It is compatible with nearly all the Windows OS, and hardware requirements could be ignored by today’s users, since their PC’s configuration is far beyond EFE’s minimum needs. Something special I need to tell you is this program requires the .NET framework v2.0, otherwise it could not be installed.
Conclusion:
EMail File Explorer is a powerful tool; it does arose my interest in trying it. If you want to experiment new ways to sent and receive files, it is fairly a good choice. In the next version, I wish it could be friendlier to users. All in all, it is worthy of recommended.
