Delicious Submit

Delicious Submit - batch Submit URLs to del.icio.us Delicious Submit automates the submission of URLs to del.icio.us. Reads a text file containing a list of URLs and submits each to del.icio.us.

Delicious Submit downloads each HTML page to get the title and description, and automatically generates up to 10 tags based on the content of the page.

To run the program, simply double-click on the DeliciousSubmit.exe program. It will read the C:/WorldWideWeb-X.com/DeliciousSubmit.xml configuration file and submit URLs to del.icio.us accordingly. If the configuration file does not exist, the program will create one and exit. You may then edit the configuration file to customize and re-run.

The DeliciousSubmit program fetches each page to be submitted and extracts the HTML title and description. These become the title and extended description for the del.icio.us submission. The program examines the page text and generates tags based on the most frequently occurring words. Stop words such as 'this', 'that', 'the', 'almost','about', 'of', etc. are excluded. A maximum of 10 tags are selected.
