You can install CA Desktop DNA Migrator from the installation CD, or download the installation file.

To download CA Desktop DNA Migrator

1. Click the Download Update link for CA Desktop DNA Migrator 2007.

   A window appears asking if you would like to run the file, save the file, or cancel the operation.

2. Click Save.

   The Save As window appears asking for a location to save the file.

3. Select Desktop from the left side of the window, then click Save.

   The file begins to download and a window displays the download progress.

4. Close all windows when the download is complete.

   You are now ready to perform the installation.

2.0 Install CA Desktop DNA Migrator

2.1 System Requirements

You must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements to install and run CA Desktop DNA Migrator correctly:

Pre-Installation Tasks

Uninstall the previous version of CA Desktop DNA Migrator. You must uninstall this software before you install the new version of CA Desktop DNA Migrator.

2.2 Install CA Desktop DNA Migrator from the Downloaded file

If you are installing CA Desktop DNA Migrator from the downloaded file, follow these steps:

1. Double-click the downloaded installation file located on your desktop.

   The Choose Setup Language dialog appears.

If you are installing CA Desktop DNA Migrator from the CD, follow these steps:

1. Insert the CA Desktop DNA Migrator CD into the CD-ROM drive of your source PC (old PC).

   The Choose Setup Language dialog appears.

2. Select the language in which you want to install CA Desktop DNA Migrator. Click OK.
