What a pity that real tilt shift lenses are quite expensive! But you don't have to be frustrated! A similar effect can be achieved by using Photoshop after you take the photo.

Step 1. Choose the proper photos to take in Photoshop

In order to make sure the effect of the photos you need choose the pictures carefully. An above ground shot could be accepted as best for this type of technique in Photoshop. Just as cityscapes, crowds, streets, and similar things are perfect.

Step 2. Use Quick Mask Mode in Photoshop

You need to open the shot in Adobe Photoshop and then hit on Quick Mask Mode.

Step 3. Use the Gradient Tool in Photoshop

Just select the Gradient Tool in Photoshop and then select the reflected gradient.

Step 4. Transparent line should be made in Photoshop

In this step you need to draw vertically upwards from where you want the point of focus to be up the screen to the top of the window, and release the mouse button. Once done that a red transparent line should appear.

Step 5. Go to Lens Blur in Photoshop

You now go back to Standard Mask Mode. And then go to Filter > Blur > Lens Blur. Just select the amount of blur you'd like.
