The Serpent of Isis Game Tips & Tricks
- There are 2 modes in the Serpent of Isis, Timed Mode and Relaxed Mode. In order to choose which mode you would like to play make sure that you select it before you begin playing.
- The game will automatically start you with the timed mode so if you wish to change that make sure that you check the "Untimed Mode" box before you begin playing. If you've already started playing, you can start a new profile and choose the Untimed Mode at that time.
- You can go back and forth between locations as much as you'd like. Just click on the word "map" that appears in the lower left side and all open locations will be available.
- Once in a while you may not be able to access certain locations until all items have been found in other scenes.
- If you have enough hints left, the wrench icon will give you different hints each time you use it. Any given solution could have an additional 2 to 3 hints.
- Pay attention to what the main character is telling you because a lot of times those hints can help you solve puzzles.
- Right click to get rid of an inventory piece that is on your cursor.
- You can skip the puzzles but if you choose to do so you will incur a 20 minute penalty added to your overall game time.
- In most scenes you will find items that will go into your inventory. To access your inventory items, click on the bag that is in the lower left side of your page.
- The items in your inventory are needed in order to access other areas in the scene or to help you solve a puzzle.
- Some inventory items go into your bag so quickly that you may not have noticed that a new item has been added.A magnifying glass will appear over your briefcase when a new item has been added. Constantly check your inventory bag to make sure that you did not miss anything.
- Hotspots are hidden locations within each scene. A hotspot will have a glowing outline around an item that needs to interact with another item before you can access it.
- The only way to find a hotspot is by moving your cursor around the scene, once you see a light around an object, click on it.
- Some hotspots are larger than others. The tiny ones can be hard to find. If you get stuck and can't find a hotspot, click on the wrench icon that is next to your hint and the game will point out a hotspot for you.
- If you enter a hotspot and then exit it without completing your search, you will see a question mark over an item. That is just a reminder that you have some unfinished business in that section.
- There are 5 different Suspect Cards in the game. To access the Suspect Cards just click on the briefcase that is in the lower left side of the screen.
- Each suspect has a favorite item listed in their profile. You must find those items in the scenes. Those special items will never be listed in your search list so you have to remember to look for them.
- For each special item that you find that belongs to a suspect you get an extra hint. Find all the items for a particular suspect and you will receive an additional 3 hints or some extra time added to your clock.
