If you frequently share presentations with others via
e-mail,
a disk, or
a Web directory, you might want to save your presentations as
Rich Text Format (RTF) files. Presentations that you save as RTF files have smaller file sizes, look like and print exactly as the original, and provide security by not containing or transmitting most macro or viruses.
Rich text format (RTF): A file type used to transfer formatted text documents between applications, even those that run on different platforms, such as IBM and Macintosh.
RTF files contain only text. RTF files do not contain content, such as pictures, clip art (clip art: A single piece of ready-made art, often appearing as a bitmap or a combination of drawn shapes.), shapes, or SmartArt graphics.
1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, point to Save As, and then click Other Formats.
2. In the File name box, type a file name, or do nothing to accept the suggested file name.
3. In the Save as type list, select Outline/RTF, and then click Save.
