STEP 0. Where to search?



Select necessary folders and/or drives

 

STEP 1. Setting the search options



Set the following options:

1. Set file mask
   to search files by mask
2. Set min file size
   to exclude files with less size than been specified
3. Protect system folders
   to exclude system folders (e.g. "Windows", "Program Files" etc.) from search
4. Protect other system files
   to exclude system files (that are situated not in system folders) from search

STEP 2. Search

Click the Start button to begin the search process.
The search process consists of two steps: scanning for files in selected folders and drives and checking for duplicates.

STEP 3. Managing the duplicate files

Select copies of files which will be deleted.
You can mark files manually or use following functions from the contextual menu:

1. Select all duplicates in this folder
   e.g. if you've compared 2 folders and now want to delete duplicates from the second folder then just use this function to select required files.
   Comment: the previous selected files remains still selected after using of this function.
2. Leave only oldest version in each Dup.Group
   Selects all files except the oldest ones in each Dup.Group (based on the modification time of files)
3. Leave only newest version in each Dup.Group
   Selects all files except the latest ones in each Dup.Group (based on the modification time of files)
