Apple announces QuickTime 10
QuickTime Ten is the next version of QuickTime, which was announced at WWDC on June 8, 2009.

Apple released its first version of QuickTime on December 2, 1991 as a multimedia add-on for System Software. And now QuickTime is the most popular multimedia player for PC and Mac. The latest version is 7.6.
At WWDC Monday morning Apple's Bertrand Serlet announces QuickTime 10 (QuickTime Ten) will be released with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard in the fall.
QuickTime 10 is scheduled to be shipped with Mac OS X v10.6 and will include optimized support for modern codecs. Other features may include "screen recording" and YouTube uploading services.
