How to keep certain cookies with Privacy Guardian?

Cookies are parcels of text sent by a server to a web browser and then sent back unchanged by the browser each time it accesses that server. Some cookies are harmless and some companies ask that cookies are accepted in order to collect individual information on their site that users have visited and for other reasons such as assisting a site in 'remembering' that a user is logged in. With Privacy Guardian you can easily get rid of all your cookies or even to selectively choose the ones you wish to keep.

Privacy Guardian deletes most tracking cookies from your computer, which means all websites that you visit will treat you like a brand new user. This contributes to your privacy when you are browsing online so websites do not know who you are and therefore defaults all web page settings.

If you wish to keep certain cookies for a specific site please do the following:

1. Please browse the websites you wish.
2. Open up an instance of Privacy Guardian.
3. Select the Settings button in the middle of the interface.
4. Click on the 'Select cookies to Keep List' on the bottom right.
5. Tick the cookies with the same domain name as the website you visited.
6. Followed by 'Save' button down the bottom.
