How to install Softick Card Export?
Before installing Card Export make sure you have setup Palm USB driver and you are able to perform ordinary synchronization by using HotSync technology.
It should have been done automatically when you perform HotSync for the first time.
- Run CardExport-xxx-yy.exe to launch installation (where xxx - Card Export version, yy - version language).
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen
- After installation is completed press HotSync button on the cradle to install CardExport.prc to your handheld PC.
- You need to reboot computer to install drivers properly.
Card Gate for Windows 2000/XP
This is Desktop part of Card Export. It installs desktop drivers to emulate SCSI disk.
Card Export for Palm OS
Palm OS part of Card Export. It exports you flash card to Card Gate. CardExport.prc is installed to System Category by default.
Note:You have to use both Card Export application for Palm OS device and Desktop drivers at the same time. You should install CardExpor.prc file on Palm OS device before using Card Export software. This file is scheduled for installation during Card Export Setup process.
System Requirements
Card Export requires Palm OS 4.0 handheld with USB connection running in native mode (like a Palm Computing m500, m505, m515 models).
Virtual COM ports are not supported.
Card Gate (Desktop drivers) requires Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP based PC.
Softick Card Export
Card Export is an application to copy the data from your computer to the "Secure Digital" or "MultiMedia Card" (SD/MMC) on you Palm handheld without performing HotSync(r) operation. When you use Card Export your flash card from Palm OS powered device appears like an another removable disk on your Desktop computer.
