iOS 4.3 was released for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, 4G & iPad, and now it is available jailbreak by using PwnageTool 4.2 and Custom firmware, this guide will tell you how to use PwnageTool 4.2 & Custom firmware jailbreak iPad iOS 4.3 GM.

How To Use PwnageTool & Custom Firmware Jailbreak iPad iOS 4.3 GM

Step 1:

Download iOS 4.3 for iPad, PwnageTool Tool for Mac, PwnageTool 4.2 Bundles, Ramdisk fixer1.5 and iTunes 10.2 and install them. It is suggest to place them on the desktop for easy access.

Step 2:

Right click on PwnageTool 4.2 and select Show Package Contents

Step 3:

Navigate to /Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles folder in PwnageTool 4.2 package contents

Step 4:

Copy PwnageTool 4.2 Bundles for iPad iOS 4.3 GM and paste it in above "FirmwareBundles" folder and close the folder

Step 5:

Launch the RamdiskFixer and complete the installations by following the on screen instructions.(You must fulfill the requirements of Ram Disk Fixer, in order to successfully patch PwnageTool 4.2)

Create Custom Firmware of iPad iOS 4.3 GM

Step 6:

Open PwnageTool 4.2 to create the iPad iOS 4.3 GM custom firmware

Step 7:

Start PwnageTool 4.2 in "Expert mode" and select iPad from device list

Step 8:

Browse and select iPad iOS 4.3 GM IPSW firmware file

Step 9:

Click the build button to start the iSO 4.3 GM custom firmware process for iPad

Step 10:

Now PwnageTool 4.2 will create the custom iOS 4.3 IPSW for iPad on your desktop

Step 11:

Close PwnageTool 4.2 when custom firmware creation process completes.

Restore Custom iOS 4.3 Firmware for iPad

Step 12:

Open iTunes on your Mac and keep your iPad connected to Mac

Step 13:

Select your iPad from iTunes device list, then press and hold Option button on your keyboard and click restore button.(Notice: Don't click on update button)

Step 14:

Browse and select iOS 4.3 custom firmware created by PwnageTool 4.2s and let iTunes complete the restore process. When the iTunes complete the restore process, your iPad screen may flash some time and will reboot. At this stage you have successfully jailbroken iPad on iOS 4.3 GM, just follow below steps to tethered boot iPad on iOS 4.3

Step 15:

Download TetheredBoot Utility and place it in tetheredboot folder on desktop

Step 16:

Create copy of iPad iOS 4.3 custom firmware, change the file extension from .ipsw to .zip and unzip it

Step 17

Open extracted content of firmware and copy following files present under Firmware/dfu/

1. iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu
2. kernelcache.release.n90

Step 18:

Place these file inside Tetheredboot utility folder

Step 19:

Turn you iPad off and open Termianal, type following commands

sudo -s
cd /User/Desktop/Tetherboot/
./tetheredboot iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu kernelcache.release.n90

And follow on screen instructions, you Apple iPad on iOS 4.3 GM will boot into the tethered boot mode and you can use Cydia to install apps
