Here is a simple guide for those users who will be the first time for upgrading their iPhone 3G or 3GS to 4.0 firmware.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone 3G or 3GS with the computer
In the first step you need to connect your iPhone 3G or 3GS with your computer for the further work.
Step2. Start iTunes
Check your iTunes. If iTunes didn't open you will open it now.Step 3. Select your iPhone
Under Devices in the Source List on the left you need to choose your iPhone.
Step 4. Click on Check for Update
