Vlc media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols without external codec or program. It can play MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 / DivX files from a hard disk, a CD-ROM drive, and DVDs, VCDs, Audio CDs and so on. It can stream many things.
Step 1: After you install it, double clicks the icon of vlc media player. Makes it run.
Step 2: Click "File", then choose "Advanced Open File". There will pop out a dialog box. Click File
Step 4: In the "File Selection" pannel, choose your files. Your selections will appear in the text box. Click Stream button.
Step 5: Click "Play Locally" and "Output Methods". When streaming to another system you don't have to play the file on the server, but we will use this option to visually confirm that our video is playing properly before trying to access the stream from another computer.
Step 6: Check the box marked "UDP" and type in the "IP address" of the computer you want to stream the file to. Then click "OK".
