For Windows Vista and Server 2008, click "View Installed Updates" in the Tasks pane, then double-click on Windows Internet Explorer 8.



Step 4: Follow the prompts provided by the Uninstall Wizard. Restart the computer to make the changes permanent. The operating system will automatically restore the previous version of Internet Explorer.

Step 5: To double check, open the browser, click on the Help tab, and select "About Internet Explorer." Find the version number of 7.
