As we know that Vlc media player is a multi-function softweare. It is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols without external codec or program. It can play MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 / DivX files from a hard disk, a CD-ROM drive, and DVDs, VCDs, Audio CDs and so on. Though it has so many function, it easily operate.
Step 1: After you install it, double clicks the icon of vlc media player. Makes it run.
Step 2: Click "View", choose "Advanced Controls" button. Then vlc media player will change to the format of advanced controls. And the button of record will appear.
Step 3: Click "File", then choose Open "Network Stream". There will pop out a dialog box. Select HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS and paste the URL/Link.
Step 4: Click "Stream".
Step 5: Select "Outputs" and "Play locally" and "File", and select ASF as Encapsulationd Method.
Step 6: Click "OK" and VLC should start to record streaming WMV/ASF/MMS-links .
