Because most of online video is .flv format and you'd better install a plug-in to solve the problem. For Mac OS user, Safari is the default web browser, you could download the flash player plug-ins in order to load YouTube in Safari 4 on Mac.
Step 1. Run Safari 4.0 on your Mac OS, type the URL "http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/" at the address field.
Step 2. When the webpage shows to you completely, it will give you a recommendation to download and install Adobe Flash Player for you Safari browser.
Step 3. Press the "Agree and Install now" button to download and install this plug-in to Mac Safari web browser, and then you could load YouTube in Safari 4.0 on Mac OS.
