How To Do Fragment With Regsitry Help

Step 1. Download Registry Help and install it

Step 2 Launch and Operate Registry Help

1. When you finish installation, Registry Help will launch by itself and then you can see the interface as below.

2. Select Defragment section and click the Analysis button. You can see the picture below

3.On the left side, the graph shows the fragments allocation of the selected registry file. The highlighted blocks represent the fragments of the registry file, the other blocks represent the whole drive. In this graph, we can clearly find out if there are more than one fragments for a registry file. If all highlighted blocks are consecutive, that means the registry file is in good performance, we do not need to defragment it. On the other hand, if there are 2 or more non-consecutive highlighted blocks, that means the selected registry file is fragmented. When program operates this file, the seeking process may take longer time and more resource; therefore, we'd better defragment this file to obtain better performance.

4.On the right side, you can see the detail fragment statistic of the selected registry file. including the cluster allocation of each fragment and if you need defragment for this file.

5.If the selected registry file contains more than one fragment, the Defragment button will be enabled, and then you may click it to defragment the registry file.

Note: We recommend you close all the other running programs before doing the defragment.
