FileHunter is an advanced version of the standard Find File program, through it you could get your lost files more easily. If several letters of the filename and/or file extension are known, it locates files and folders in many ways.
Filehunter delivers just enough power to enhance your file-searching tasks. I'll show you how to search for files with this program.
Step1: Download and Install Filehunter
Download Filehunter free trial version here, and then install it. Skip this step if already done.
Step2: Select Search Parameters According to Your Requirements

Search by extensions: You can browse for a folder on your system or select ALL fixed drives.
Search by filenames: eg *.doc;*.xls;*.frm
Search by file size: Files can be selected according to file size criteria.
Search by file dates:
1. To Select a date you must highlight the WHEN box.
2. Then select Use dates
OR Within
OR Between
3. Select a number if time Span is selected.
Search by attributes:
The file attributes are:

normal
archive - ie. the file has a flag which marks the file for backup or removal
readonly - ie. the file is used in applications that read the file. The file canNOT be written to.
hidden - ie. the file is NOT revealed in ordinary listings of directories and files
system - ie. the file is used by the operating system
Search by text: Text Search is used to find files containing specified text strings.
Any letters, words or phrases can be used. The length of the string is indefinite and the string will be matched exactly. If CaseSensitive is checked, the the string must be in the appropriate case or it will not be found.
Step 3: Click "SEARCH" to Find The File

OK, just wait for the result.
