How to Explore a Partition contained within an Image File? |

|
Step 1: In the Keriver Image Basic window, move you mouse cursor over the Explore button and click on it.

Step 2: Select the image file from the drives tree. The information of the selected image file will be displayed on the right box.

Step 3: Select a partition to explore (one or more may exist), and assign a drive letter from the 'Drive Letter' drop-down list. Then click 'Explore' to create a virtual drive.

Step 4: If Exploring was operated successfully, a dialog on the left will be displayed to tell you the new virutal drive letter. For example, a new drive lettered 'F' may be activated.

Step 5: Now, you will be able to use the virtual drive in the same way as a real drive.
Note: The virtual drive created by 'Explore' is Read-Only, to protect the image file.
We recommend that you 'unplug' the virtual drive after all necessary operations are finished, as keeping the virtual drive active takes considerable system resources. If you do not 'unplug' the virtual drive, it will deactivate when your computer is turned off.

Step 6: To unplug the virtual drive, in the Keriver Image Basic window, find the 'Unplug' button and click it with your mouse cursor.

Step 7: If Unplugging was completed successfully, the virtual drive will disappear. For example, in this simple case, the virtual drive letter 'F' is deactivated.

Keriver Image
